HOW DOES ONNYBODY® COMPARE ON PRICE, CONVENIENCE & VALUE?
Most supermarket bottled product costs $1.99-$4.50 per 100ml for body wash and $2.13-$4.33 per 100ml for shampoo/conditioner. ONNYBODY® delivers premium, naturally derived, obsessively scented quality at just $2.10 per 100ml for body wash and $2.45 per 100ml for shampoo/conditioner, based on regular RRP.
For example: a household of 5 showering twice daily (30 pumps daily), using our $50 dispenser, handles 200,000 pumps which is a bloody long time and works out to be around $2.75 per year (based on average use). So you’re making a saving and eliminating dozens of plastic bottles and constant supermarket runs.

IS ONNYBODY® NATURALLY DERIVED?
Absolutely. Naturally derived means our key ingredients are sourced from nature's toolkit - plant-based surfactants, botanical extracts and natural oils. We blend or modify our naturally derived plant-based actives with safe, proven ingredients & methods in NZ laboratories to ensure the products work harder, last longer and maintain proper pH balance.
A good way to think about it: Natural: Olive oil cold-pressed from olives. Naturally derived: Sodium cocoyl isethionate (a surfactant made by chemically modifying fatty acids from coconut oil). IS ONNYBODY® 100% NATURAL?
No, our formulations aren't 100% natural - and here's the difference that matters. 100% natural means every ingredient comes straight from nature with zero processing - which sounds great but often means inconsistent results, shorter shelf life, and products that can't handle real life's mess. Also, it can often lead to a higher risk of allergens and potential skin reactions. Naturally derived (what we use) means our key active ingredients are sourced from plants and then carefully processed to create effective, stable formulations that work powerfully. The fragrance, which equates to under 1% of the total formulation, is made from a synthetic, low-allergenic blend (natural fragrance can often lead to high allergen generation).
This means you get plant-powered cleaning that is kind to skin and delivers on performance - because we're about effective, naturally derived formulations that clean like a mother-*!#er, not just ticking the "all natural" box. Learn more about ONNYBODY® formulation ingredients >
IS ONNYBODY® VEGAN FRIENDLY, CRUELTY AND PARABEN FREE?
Yes. ONNYBODY® products do not contain any ingredients derived from animals and have not been tested on animals. Nor do they contain parabens.
ARE ONNYBODY® OK FOR SEPTIC TANKS?
ONNYBODY® Body & Hair care products are made from naturally derived ingredients which makes them great for septic tanks. They're free from phosphates, bleach, ammonia, and harsh antibacterial agents that can disrupt septic systems. Made with biodegradable, naturally derived ingredients, they break down safely without harming the balance of bacteria essential for healthy septic function. According to Watercare NZ and Australia, if products are phosphate, chlorine and ammonia free they are suitable for septic tanks and ONNYBODY® products contain none of these.
HOW DO I INSTALL THE DISPENSER?
Super easy - First, you clean, wipe down and dry the surface you are applying it to with isopropyl alcohol (vodka is a good alternative!) before you stick it. Then it’s just peel and stick it to the wall, or screw mount if you prefer. Works on any smooth surface including wet areas. You can install multiple side-by-side, and if you ever want to move it, the adhesive removes cleanly without damage. For textured walls we recommend using the screws. Read more here >
In each box you will receive a set of labels with all options of what you can put inside. This makes it interchangeable. Before you stick them up, decide what formulation you will fill it with, then apply the right label as per the instructions found here >
Once it's up, you simply pump your hand on the lever below and catch the formulation. It's that simple, even a little preschooler can do it. You refill it at the top, the lid comes off right off and you can lock it if you need to (commercial use mainly). The window shows how much is inside and when you see it getting low, top it up.
You can rinse it out and change formulations inside if you want to and it looks super-slick to have a few installed side by side to cover all wash requirements.
DO YOU DO OTHER SIZE REFILL POUCHES?
At the moment we only do the 2 Litre, but as we learn more about what customers want we will look at other capacity fills.

WHERE ARE ONNYBODY® PRODUCTS MADE?
We are proud to say that our formulations are manufactured in New Zealand. Our fragrance is made in Singapore, the dispenser is made in China and 90% of our packaging comes from overseas suppliers, with the balance made in New Zealand. ONNYBODY® is a Mahina Group brand. WHAT’S THE DEAL WITH SUSTAINABILITY?
ONNYBODY® is addressing sustainable production and climate impact by rethinking packaging from the ground up. Traditional hard plastic bottles require large amounts of plastic material to produce and high energy amounts to recycle & transport and still, many end up in landfill despite existing systems. In contrast, our permanent dispensers are built to last up to 200,000 pumps so you don't need a bottle each time you run out. It's designed to be paired with our large 2 Litre refill pouches which reduce the total number of refills needed as well. So less plastic up front, and less frequency as well. Additionally, soft plastic recycling infrastructure is growing, making our refill pouches increasingly easier to recycle, while their lightweight design cuts transport emissions too.
ARE THE POUCHES RECYCLABLE?
They sure are! Take off the lid, then chuck it in your closest soft plastic packaging recycling bins. For NZ this is where you find them > For AU, this is where you find them > thanks to the the new SPSA soft plastic recovery system which kicked in at all major supermarkets from August 2025.
